Barbara Comstock (VA-10)
Prior to her election to Congress in 2014, Barbara Comstock served two terms in the Virginia House of Delegates and worked as chief counsel of the House Government Reform and Oversight Committee. Before entering public service, she had a successful legal career and was a co-founder of a public relations and public policy firm in northern Virginia. In Congress, Comstock has been committed to empowering the next generation of women leaders. In addition to starting a mentoring program in VA-10, she also introduced and passed the INSPIRE Women Act, which directs the NASA to encourage women and girls to pursue an education in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.
